Hello! My name is Gonzalo.

and these are The Harmonia Sessions.

Written over the span of the last three years of my life, I share some of the moments that have impressed themselves into my memory, moments that lead me right back to the piano to pour out, simply, how I felt and reflected and got through these moments or witnessing others process these moments aswell. Some moments are immense, others are a fleeting and small, and yet both can be overwhelming. When I first created the title track of this record, I remember it had just rained. A crisp sunset, laying there in the horizon, while the weight of the blue clouds moved past me. the light was shining through the drops on the screen of my window. I remember sitting at the keys, and fiddling with some simple chords. The music reminded me of a woman with a warm solemness. Her hair tucked behind one ear off to the side, and her arms lightly embracing me as I play. I felt a deep sense of stillness and peace, and began to utter a name I thought of as Harmony, but in spanish, Harmonia.

A few days went by and I stumbled upon some pretty widely known information that umm, Harmonia is the literal Greek Goddess of harmony and tranquility, LOL, realizing that this woman may be a figure I subconsciously knew already had existed in history, I decided to trust how things simply fell into the right place at the right time. How I create comes from how I’m feeling and what I hear. So the music that was created ever since that moment just spilled across my room, it grew and withdrew, and I was able to tailor together an EP that had some of the strongest songs and music I have written and performed so far. I could tell a little bit of my story and the things I’ve gone and go through.

I want to thank everyone who was part of this journey with me, who has supported, loved, and simply been part of my everyday life, it was these real connections that have inspired this music, and my reflection of those times. Whether its one, ten, thirty, or a thousand listens, every single one makes me deeply gratified and confident in my trust of my talent, and my ultimate goal to inspire others to dream big and to slam and scream on the keys, no matter the ridicule. Everyday, there are little things that try to tell you to quit. but I wont. I never will. and this is just the beginning.
